Why I am pursuing certification

  • To enhance and deepen my own understanding of meditation, mindfulness, and compassion-based practices, in order to serve the world to my highest capacity as a mindfulness meditation teacher

  • To perfect my skills as a teacher, in particular:

    • To acquire the necessary skills to work with diverse—especially marginalized—populations

    • To develop the skills needed to work with those who have experienced trauma

  • To connect, learn from, and collaborate with other teachers around the world

  • To grow and deepen my own personal practice and awakening, knowing that the deeper I go, the more I will have to offer others

  • To learn more about how to effectively earn a living teaching meditation, while also pursuing my passion

Why I chose this particular program

  • Program is intensive and thorough and has professional as well as psychological and spiritual depth

  • My extraordinarily positive personal experience on the associated silent retreat I attended as a prerequisite to the program

  • Monthly small group meetings and 3 individual meetings with a highly trained mentor

    How I will Keep you INformed of my progress

  • Quarterly updates about the program and what I have learned

  • After the first year, a Zoom call presentation highlighting my learnings from Year One, followed by a Q&A period.

  • After the second year (upon the program’s conclusion), a Zoom call presentation highlighting my learnings from the entirety of the program, especially Year Two, as well as my plans for the future and how I will use what I have learned. This, too, will be followed by a Q&A period.
