Returning to ourselves

Cindy and Rev. Caroline Dean invite all adult Plymouth women to join us for a soulful and rejuvenating time on retreat together.

We gather together in retreat to step away from the busy-ness of our daily lives in order to re-center and restore. We gather to revitalize our spirits as we learn to love ourselves more deeply, to find joy and light, so that we might have the capacity to be of greater service to this sacred world in which we live. We gather to foster community, to strengthen the bonds that tie us together - and that ultimately free us to be all God intends us to be so that we may each shine our own unique lights in the world. 

This weekend will provide us the unique opportunity to come together to explore parables of kinship illuminating God's unconditional love and each person's inherent goodness through small group activities, individual journaling, prayer practices and the arts — and to learn from and share with others.

Father Gregory Boyle writes beautifully on these themes in his books "Tattoos on the Heart" and "Cherished Belonging.” There is no required reading for the retreat; however, reading either/or (or even a part of one!) would be an inspiring way to deepen your retreat experience. Both books are S0 good!
